Within my therapeutic practice, establishing and maintaining a warm and collaborative relationship is of the upmost importance to me. I believe each individual is unique and worthy, and that people typically do the best they can with the resources available to them. Within therapy, you can expect to feel heard, validated, and have a supportive space to express and explore your emotions and tap into your strengths. I want to understand you as a person and to create safe place where you do not feel alone. I encourage both self-compassion and exercising one’s power to take action.
I primarily take an Emotion Focused approach and incorporate elements of Dialectical Behaviour therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (for those of you unfamiliar with this language I am happy to explain these approaches).
I work flexibly, and I tailor each therapy session to meet you where you are at towards the aim of establishing meaningful goals and to assist you with living a full and present life.
