About
I enjoy working with individuals who are on a journey of self-discovery, which may include unresolved issues from the past, or difficulty finding the path forward. As someone who has had an eventful journey so far, I am happy to share my combined clinical knowledge, and life lessons learned, with those who are searching for answers to their own questions. I help clients understand how they move through the world, how the mind works, how to develop better coping and communication skills, and how to improve resiliency and functioning.
In my practice, I have spent years working with people who suffer with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, loss, trauma and PTSD. I help couples with issues of trust, communication, infidelity, sexual incompatibility, etc. I put a strong emphasis on emotions, but draw on a variety of theoretical approaches and techniques to facilitate change.
Research has consistently shown that a strong therapist-client relationship is the key to therapy. Empathy is the ability to understand how another person feels. Having faced many of life’s greatest challenges myself, I have an uncanny ability to understand how my clients are feeling, sometimes even before they do. I would really like to help you!
