Choosing a therapist is a strange process, but therapy is more effective when the therapist is a good fit for the client. I hope that by reading this, you can get an idea of whether I might be a fit for you! My clients have a range of presenting concerns, but the focus of my practice is on complex, developmental, and/or relational trauma. I’m particularly passionate about working with adolescents, as well as adults, couples, and caregivers. In my work, I support clients as they compassionately integrate their hardest experiences into their stories and learn to care for themselves as inherently worthy and deeply relational beings.
The therapeutic work is not just what’s talked about, but also what happens in and between client(s) and therapist. As an attachment-based therapist, I nourish genuine relationships with clients that prize connection and safety over intervention and strategy. I aim to be the kind of therapist clients deserve: one who is real, human, and fully present.
I really like my clients, just as they are. In our sessions, we laugh together (usually at me) and we talk about the world. They often sigh or roll their eyes when I ask them about their childhood, and I smile gently in response. As they share the hard stuff, I hold a light up in the darkness so we can see our way through. If you’re up for this, reach out!
