Hello! My name is Carlie, I'm a therapist practicing at Venture Counselling & Therapy in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia. I aim to provide clients with a safe, non-judgemental space where they are free to be themselves. I feel strongly in a culturally sensitive and affirming approach for all individuals appreciating that they are the experts in their own lives. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can foster growth, acceptance, and change in individuals.
I work with individuals age 13 and above using a primarily person-centred approach. Inclusion of other evidence-based approaches may include aspects from narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy. Adapting my approach to meet each client where they are at.
