About
I offer counselling/ psychotherapy services that meet you where you are. If you are looking for support to face some of your life's challenges or to live a more satisfying life, I may be able to help.My work is guided by the following key principles: we all possess a natural tendency toward growth and healing; counselling/psychotherapy is a collaborative process, with the client directing the process; we are all so much more than the worst thing we have ever done.
I work with a range of issues and clients: men and women dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders, relationship issues, trauma; couples dealing with relationship and fertility issues; individuals facing issues related to immigration/resettlement, parenting challenges, racism/discrimination, and I work from an LGBT*Q positive framework.
My approach is relational and integrative. I first focus on building a warm, trusting, collaborative relationship with you and then I use a variety of techniques depending on what works best for you. My influences include feminist therapy, psychodynamic, person centred and experiential approaches, as well as mindfulness based practices.
