Carla believes in community and personal connections. She helps people see their resilience and hope for the future in finding pathways for change by meeting people where they are at. Carla understands the importance of culture, identity, and finding new stories through narrative therapy to honour the past and encourage creative, empathetic, and courageous links for the future. Carla provides Psilocybin-Assisted and MDMA-assisted Therapy to clients who have been granted legal access by Health Canada, as well as preparation and integration to the broader public as a harm reduction measure.
Carla works with persons living with past trauma, grief, loss, abuse, trauma, anxiety, addictions, relationship discord, parenting and attachment issues, working towards a shift, believing that one small change can allow us to begin a new journey to create the life we desire.
Carla believes in a holistic approach to therapy, incorporating mindfulness, cultural rituals where appropriate, hypnotherapy, stories, art, music, and nature, encouraging each client to celebrate unique gifts and strengths to move towards personal empowerment and overall healing. Carla has a master's degree in counselling and is working on her doctorate.
