Hello! I am a registered psychologist with experience working with adults, children and families. I find my work rewarding and my clients inspiring. I work from an integrated perspective to best meet client needs. I have worked in different counselling roles for over ten years, and have experience with a range of concerns, including trauma, stress, coping with life changes, depression and anxiety. I also have experience helping clients work through family relationship struggles and child behaviour concerns, and to improve life balance.
I work from a strength-based perspective in which the counselling relationship is central. I believe that clients come to counselling equipped with strengths to help them overcome the issues they are facing. In our work together, in addition to developing new tools, I work with clients to identify and apply the strengths they possess.
I often use play and art in therapy, especially in my work with children. My experience has taught me valuable lessons about the relief that can be provided by a genuine and empathic listener, and about the amazing changes that people can make when their strengths are encouraged to flourish.
