Relationships are central to our well-being. When our relationships are not going well, we can become lonely and isolated, and our mental health suffers. Seeking professional help to look at how we function in our relationships and the impact that they have on us and we on them, can open possibilities for growth. By recognizing the present-day impact of past events, by focusing on our goals for the future, and by changing unhelpful thinking patterns, we can find a path to improved relationships and better mental health.

I aim to form therapeutic relationships with individuals (12yrs +) and families, to understand their situations, and offer support to manage stressors and remove barriers. My areas of expertise are; anxiety, depression, grief, loss, anger, relational trauma, stress, burnout, and chronic pain.

As a counsellor, I use a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens and offer behavioral, narrative, and short-term solution focused practice to help with difficult times encountered throughout life. I enjoy empowering individuals to recognize their own strengths and find a way through the tumultuous life paths.

The world is full of lonely people…In life, we take many paths. Some paths are smooth, while some might be rough and challenging. Sometimes, on a particularly difficult path, we can lose sight of our goals, loved ones, and the connection to our inner selves. On the surface, it may feel like we do not have the strength to get through these hardships. But I believe that we can find it within ourselves to forge new pathways towards happiness. I incorporate techniques rooted in emotion-focused and culturally sensitive practices when working with you, prioritizing your unique needs.
