As the daughter of low-income immigrants, I intimately understand the complexities of navigating bicultural expectations and growing up with limited resources. I bring firsthand experience that allows me to deeply grasp the complexity and importance of incorporating an intersectional framework. Growing up, I rarely encountered BIPOC representation, making it more meaningful for me today to serve as a woman of colour counsellor. I have consistently sought roles in the helping profession that involve supporting others. I offer various forms of support to families and individuals with a wide range of mental health needs.
I aim to work together with clients, using a trauma-informed, social justice-oriented approach and intersectional framework. My goal is to understand their perspective and meet them where they are through a client-centred approach. In our sessions, I use an integrative therapeutic approach, such as drawing from narrative therapy, CBT
