About

Hi, I am Candace, thank you for stopping by. I believe that you are more than your symptoms, you are simply seeking fulfilment and mastery over your life. It is important for you to feel safe, comfortable and deeply understood, therefore you have come to the right place. I will work with you to help you find your own voice, explore traumatic events, process adverse childhood experiences such as neglect, overcome feelings of depression, powerlessness and break the cycle of anxiety.
I am grateful that my career has allowed me to be a part of my client's growth and healing process over the past nine years. I primarily work with clients whose lives have been disrupted and impacted by trauma. I support my clients by creating a safe and supportive environment where they can begin working through past traumas and self-defeating behaviours.
I strive to provide clients with the best possible therapeutic care by understanding each person in the context of their own unique culture, values and life experiences. I bring warmth, empathy, kindness and a sense of humor to our therapeutic space. I am here to also help you implement coping strategies and the necessary changes to suit your needs.

Candace Hamilton's Groups

HT-Method- Healing Together Trauma Treatment Group

The HT Method is a two-phased 12 week trauma treatment group. We created the HT method by merging three evidence-based trauma treatment methodologies: The Herman’s Stages of Trauma Recovery, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Psychology. From phase one you will gain : Increased understanding of the impacts of trauma, reduce the sense of shame and self-blame and enhanced coping skills and self regulation skills. Phase two will focus on: Integration of trauma memory and reprocessing past traumas using EMDR.
