About
To go against the grain is courage and it is courageous to be seeking support. I work with clients on a wide range of issues from depression, anxiety, and stress to trauma, grief, and addiction. I often have my dog, cat, and crested gecko present during session. I welcome clients' pets to session too! The commonality among all my clients is a love for animals, a connection to nature, and a desire to remove some splinters while working through life's difficult knots.
I offer mindfulness-based strategies to support your development of cognitive and emotional resilience; DBT to develop a healthier relationship to acceptance and change; CBT to raise awareness around maladaptive patterns and how to change them; EFT to offer insight into your emotional experiences and processes; and, NT to support you in telling your story.
I value every client's background, belief system, and life experience. Clients are the authority in their own lives. I want to understand your unique set of values, ideas, opinions, problems, patterns, and challenges. I listen to my clients without judgment. I will offer perspectives, reflections, resources, and an abundance of empathy in your journey.
