As a registered psychotherapist, I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individual adults, as they develop the courage to explore their vulnerabilities on their journey towards healing, wellness, and fulfilment. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to share their experiences. The therapeutic relationship is central to my work, so I diligently seek to maintain a respectful, authentic, and empathic working alliance with all of my clients. “Perhaps we can forgo the answer to the question, “Why do we live?” But it is not easy to postpone the question, “How shall we live?” – I.D. Yalom
Some areas of focus include supporting my clients with mental health issues, such as: anxiety, depression, grief, major life transitions, eating and body image issues (i.e., anorexia, bulimia, disordered eating, self-esteem). My experience working in mental health at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre has allowed me to work with a variety of issues.
My intention is to help individuals in attaining their therapeutic goals and objectives, which entails my commitment and assistance with them in gaining a better understanding of his/her/their psychological functioning, the changes they may wish to make that can lead towards greater personal insight, introspection, healing, growth, and wholeness.
