I am a holistic therapist, located in London, ON, and specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use concerns using trauma-informed treatment. I also have a strong interest in supporting individuals who have experienced psychosis and those who identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I see everyone as comprised of mind, body, and spirit. We all share common pains in life and these experiences (past and present) change us. Life traumas can cause us to identify with a false version of ourselves. Coming to know your Self creates greater authenticity and freedom.
Everyone has unique internal resources and coping skills, and my approach amplifies this inherent coping ability. Life events that are not integrated coherently by the mind can leave us feeling confused, lost, and hopeless. I have years of evidence-based practice and I integrate alternative/mystic perspectives, for those who are interested.
Change is always possible, even though we can't change what happened in the past. The past must be understood, validated, integrated, and accepted. Past events can then be given new meaning and life can change. I currently offer weekday evening and weekend appointments, both virtually and in-person.
