Welcome! Did you know that more than 78% of women and girls struggle with their body image? You are not alone! Developing a healthy relationship with your body is easier said than done. If you are someone who struggles to look in the mirror, to feel good in your body, and who cannot even imagine what it would be like to be happy with yourself, you are in the right place. Creating a healthy relationship with your body requires first to get connected with yourself as a person. Somatic therapy is designed to create a connection between body and mind to facilitate healing from trauma and painful experiences.
In short- it is the first step on the journey towards becoming more accepting of physical self. Throughout our work together I will walk you through a variety of exercises designed to reconnect you with your body through noticing physical sensations. Our work together will scaffold as we strive to achieve body acceptance and gratitude.
I appreciate taking the first step may feel like a risk. You may fear the pain of reviewing the past, or the uncertainty of the future. When you are ready, I will be here to provide you a safe, non-judgemental space to share and heal. Consultations can be booked through our website, or by email; our Care Coordinator will respond within 24 hours.
