Hello! My name is Brigitte and my mission is to assist you in unfolding the challenges bringing you to seek help—and if you made it this far, you’re already on your way. I work to help you to put your experience into words so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and your world, make choices in line with what matters most to you and make changes accordingly, both for yourself and for your communities. I try to take a stance of not knowing; not the expert, but a curious fellow human. I offer a space for more slowness than daily life accommodates, and I ask questions that help you hear your own answers.
While I’m trained in more popular scientist-practitioner models of counselling, I work intuitively, borrowing heavily from the humanistic-existential tradition. This work suits a variety of concerns. Ultimately, it’s most important for me to meet you where you are and adapt to the particular needs you are bringing, which is why my approach is integrative.
I welcome and affirm adults from all backgrounds, ages, orientations and identities. As a performing musician with a background in religious studies and community activism, I support you in expressing all parts of yourself on your own path to feeling whole. While my own experiences inform my understanding, the focus of our work is you.
