The name Gilded Cage Counselling comes from the story of a bird living in a gilded or opulent bird cage. Despite the luxurious cage the bird is living in, it is still trapped. This metaphor can be used for our lives. Do you feel trapped by the masks you wear, the lifestyle you have built, the coping mechanisms you have, or any other reason? While on the surface, often things can ‘look good’ on the outside, yet we may still be trapped by our pain, fears, guilt or shame on the inside. You can set yourself free from these fears, pain or coping mechanisms to live your life in a way that matters to you.
I rely on a holistic and integrative approach drawing on several therapeutic modalities for my clients needs. My job is to bring curiosity to your life and support you through your process as you work towards the life you envision for yourself. I believe everyone deserves to thrive.
