Life can be challenging at the best of times, but when you have destructive patterns of thinking or are dealing with a mental illness, those daily challenges feel like climbing mountains. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, personality disorders, trauma recovery and family issues, including parenting challenges. Most importantly, it is the connection that you have with your therapist that will determine the effectiveness of psychotherapy. My approach is understanding and compassionate, while I challenge and teach you in a positive and motivational manner.

I have a unique approach that focuses first on rapport building, as research has shown this is the number one factor that makes therapy effective. Weaved throughout I work to understand how you process information and then develop a therapeutic approach that best suits your specific needs. This will draw from several different therapeutic modalities.

I utilize a variety of therapy techniques that I have trained extensively in, this includes Somatic Experiencing Psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness. You can gather more information about me at my personal website www.jenniferbrighton.com or my business website www.exhaleacademy.com
