Since obtaining my MSW in 1992 and my PhD in 2003 (clinical social work), I have had the privilege of assisting people of all ages with many different concerns and needs. I have trained in a wide range of approaches to understanding what it is to be human, what we all fundamentally need, and what can help us work through difficulties that limit our growth and desire to experience our life as meaningful. These approaches include (but are not limited to) psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, mindfulness and nature-based therapies. I have extensive experience helping people with mood, anxiety and stress-related difficulties.
My formative years as a social worker were spent working with children, teens and families which gave me a solid foundation for understanding the developmental basis from which our lives evolve. I have worked with many teens and young adults who are trying to find their way into the broader world.
