Trauma isn't about an event itself - it is about our reactions to it. For over a decade, I have worked with people who have experienced a variety of complex traumas. Together, we will work to transform your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual responses that have been impacted by trauma. We will explore a variety of interventions to help calm the nervous system, forge safe mind-body connections, integrate aspects of the self that have split or dissociated, process traumatic memories and find new meaning or post traumatic growth.
A meaningful and authentic relationship is a foundation for trauma healing. By creating a safe and supportive environment, we will untangle the complexities of your own unique experience. I am dedicated to decolonizing my practice, which means I use a holistic, mind-body-emotion-spiritual approach that looks different for every person.
Sometimes people are nervous about trauma therapy. I get it. I will strive to make this an empowering and collaborative experience. I am well equipped and prepared to join you in your healing journey. Healing from trauma is my passion. I also teach, conduct research, and support clinicians, organizations and systems in developing a trauma lens.
