If you have been struggling to find your voice, afraid to express your authentic feelings and connect with your truth; I can help you identify, understand and work through barriers that keep you stuck. You don't have to keep repeating old, unproductive or harmful patterns. Therapy can help you regain your power, identify what's keeping you stuck and help you enjoy renewed relationships with family, friends and co-workers. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, loss, separation, divorce; abuse, family and work pressures, contribute to disharmony, imbalance, confusion and stress.

My approach to therapeutic healing incorporates strength based, narrative, humanistic and holistic healing. My early work in behaviour and learning, infant-child attachment and development and adult attachment; grounds my work in relational healing and includes understanding the role emotions play in body-centred awareness and unconscious patterning.

Power dynamics, systemic oppression and recognizing how society contributes to individual and group disempowerment, also informs my work. As I work to support children, youth, women, men, couples and families, regain their personal power and experience renewed hope in their own strength and wisdom, we join in life's celebration.

Women's Stories New Group Starting

Registration Required Exploring Our Identity Group begins Thurs. Nov. 22 - Jan 30; Some spaces remaining. Exploring our life stories, creating change and self identity, moving forward. The focus remains on women's roles in contemporary society and the pressures associated with recreating identity beyond our role definitions ie. "spouse" "mother" "career". We explore, challenge, re-create our vision of success, motherhood and relationships based on shaping our own identity. Women discover creative, empowering ways to find balance, meaning and break free from the confines of sex-role sterotypes and oppression.

The participants will deepen their discovery of this inner world using expressive arts modalities. What's it like to live with addictions? How might your body and mind be reacting to your environment? How does one live with others who may not understand? How does one find hope? This workshop includes a short performance piece, choreographed and performed by the group facilitators; London performer, choreographer and Gestalt psychotherapist, Anne MacDougall & Anti-oppressive psychotherapist, Brenda MacGillivray
