I authentically connect with children, youth and families, and have experience working with clients who are at-risk. I use a client-centered, holistic approach, meaning I focus on helping the individual work on their "whole self". I also work with my clients collaboratively, understanding differing needs.
Areas of concentration: negative contact with police, school disciplinary issues, behavioural challenges, family conflict, parenting support, abuse and trauma (Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) Certified) suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviours, anxiety, depression, anger management, family violence, bullying- school, victims of abuse, self-esteem and relationships
I have extensive experience working with victims of abuse, as well as young people who have had negative contact with the police. I have worked with the RCMP, in youth corrections, as well as has extensive experience in training on Violence Threat Risk Assessments in a school setting.
