I am a Registered Social Worker who holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria and Master’s degree in Social Work with a Clinical Specialization from University of Calgary. I am an experienced social worker who works with clients that are experiencing a variety of difficulties that may include anxiety, depression, grief, stress, insomnia, self-esteem, and life transition challenges. Additionally, I have completed specialized training in the treatment of stress and trauma related disorders.
I have extensive training working with those who have been impacted by trauma, including complex trauma from childhood adverse experiences. My experience comes from working with First Responders, Canadian Armed Forces Personnel, and Veterans.
I remain informed and up to date on current evidence-based best practices and is trained in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I embrace an eclectic therapeutic orientation in my practice, tailoring interventions to meet client’s individualized needs.
