I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association as well as others. I am experienced in providing psychotherapy and psychological treatment for children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. My nurturing style works well with individuals dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, attachment injuries, trauma, grief and loss, relationship distress, and stress. My work history includes supporting families and youth within the Child and Family Services System and I am a recognized Child Specialist in post-divorce processes. I am also trained to provide Psychoeducational assessments for children and youth.
The focus of my practice is primarily Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. However I am also trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I am able to provide Psychoeducational Assessments and Psychological Assessments for children and youth.
I believe that my clients have the capacity to generate healthy change in their lives. My role in therapy is to work along side my clients in building and strengthening this capacity and healing issues that create barriers. My approach considers all biopsychosocial aspects (one's body, one's mind, and one's environment).
