My practice currently focusses on Neurofeedback. Seeing a Neurofeedback therapist is a different kind of therapy experience. The main focus of your sessions is on improving your brain health and retraining your brain waves so that you’ll begin to feel better, sooner. Neurofeedback can help with a wide range of difficulties including those related to mental health and wellness, ADHD, ASD, learning struggles, disrupted sleep, mTBI/concussions, and long Covid. It is therapy with the brain in mind. Neurofeedback is a way of teaching the nervous system how to regulate itself, getting it 'unstuck' and more flexible and resilient.
When I first encountered Neurofeedback, my daughter was struggling with persistent post-concussion symptoms. I was skeptical at first, but we were still hopeful. Seeing how quickly her symptoms began to shift, ignited my curiosity and now passion for Neurofeedback. I understand that trying something new can be exciting, and it can also be a bit scary.
This type of therapy is a research-proven, drug free method for teaching your brain to function in a more balanced way. It is important to know that although the technology is quite sophisticated, the process is simple and non-invasive. At Brainstorm, we see people of all ages. Interested in learning more?
