I have over 30 years of experience assisting clients in my clinical practice to resolve issues in their relationships and in day to day living .Problems often focus on addiction, stress, trauma, and anxiety. I assist clients to achieve more positive communication skills and productive happier relationships. . I believe that I work well with clients who are seeking to address the difficult issues we all face in this ever-changing and challenging world, and to explore new ways of viewing life's journey with all it's struggles. I approach counselling support in a solution focused manner in order to set and achieve specific goals.
I believe that trust, support and connection are key to building a positive therapeutic relationship. I utilize a focused approach to deal with issues raised and to determine the individual difficulties and barriers that exist and the strengths and strategies the client needs to enhance in order to successfully address and resolve the problems presented.
Over the years I have also experienced many of the struggles individuals and couples bring to counselling. These experiences have provided an increased understanding of the sometimes overwhelming emotional, physical and financial toll these issues may bring, and the incredible benefit to reaching out for help and support at those times.
