The decision to seek out professional help to gain a better understanding of ourselves, or our child, and support in finding ways to cope more effectively with the challenges we/they may be facing is not always easy. Over the past 25 years, I have provided psychological assessment and counselling to support children, adults, and families in a variety of settings in Alberta and Manitoba. This has included mental health clinics, addictions agencies, schools, and private practice. I also have specialized training and experience in completing psycho-educational assessments with school-aged children in both private and public schools.
I complete psycho-educational assessments with school-aged children to identify possible issues that may be contributing to difficulties a child may be having at school (i.e.,learning disability, ADHD). I also work with individuals and couples in therapy who are experiencing specific mental health issues, external stressors, and/or relationship concerns.
By being authentic and collaborative in my practice, I aim to help clients feel more at ease about accessing services, whether it be for an assessment or therapy, so that they feel more engaged and open to the process, as well as as empowered to make positive changes that will help them to meet their goals.
