What is your outlet to address childhood issues, operational traumatic events, angry spells, depression or anxieties? Perhaps drink or two, shopping spree or excessive porn watching is the way to calm your mind. Do you feel preoccupied with non-medical use of drugs and start a day with a piece of a sweet cake are the ways to give you a rush of dopamine to your pleasure center in your brain to forget, to calm down, and decompress. Perhaps, you can find out if your behaviors are becoming out of control and how you can regulate your out-of-control thoughts and emotions and learn if these behaviors have anything to do with your past...
My specialty is working with PTSD, Occupational Stress Injury, emotional and behavioral dysregulation and obsessive thoughts. In my work, I have been using many therapeutic approaches tailored to clients needs, I have also been offering psychoeducation on the impact of trauma and addiction on the couples, marriages and family units.
I have enjoyed working with medically released soldiers and police officers as well as their families affected by unique deployment issues. I am certified sexual addictions therapist trained well in needs of the population that may still be misunderstood and judged by society. I focus on the cultural backgrounds of my clients and their Families.

Groups
Veterans, Psychotherapy and Addictions

Many men and women serving Canadian Forces suffer mental health and addictions issues related to operational tasking and deployments. Some of the veterans as well as members of a civilian population suffer from a childhood traumas and family dysfunctional upbringing. If in combat or in a dysfunctional family, individuals suffer with depression, anxiety and panic if not directly affected by trauma may be by witnessing startling and tragic events. My lengthy training and working experience provides empathy and safety to build the trust and therapeutic guidance to alleviate bothersome symptoms and find a peace.
