Belfon Psychological Services emphasizes the use of the most current evidence-based practices to support children and adolescents having difficulties with mood, anxiety, disruptive behaviour, obsessive/compulsive behaviours, personality, relational problems, social development and learning. We believe in viewing problems from a developmental lens, understand the importance of working together with families, and we regularly involve caregivers in treatment and assessment when it is possible to do so.
The primary therapeutic orientations of clinicians at Belfon Psychological Services are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We also offer comprehensive assessments of mental health functioning and learning, as well as psychoeducational assessments to support learning in school systems.
In addition to working with young people, Belfon Psychology has expanded services to include associates, who have expertise in working with adults. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rudolph Drummond (clinical psychologist), who has extensive experience in working with adolescents and adults in both mental health and forensic settings.
