Parul Shah, is the Founder/ Psychotherapist/Registered Social Worker of Embracing Empowerment Counselling Services (EECS). Parul Shah is under the regulatory body of OCSWSSW since 2002. Areas of speciality are, PTSD/ Complexity of Trauma/Depression/Anxiety for , First Responders, Frontline Trauma Nurses, Doctors. NHL/competitive hockey players , Adults, Teens /Children (over 11). Other variety sets of struggles we deal with are, bullying, childhood trauma, passive/active suicidal ideation, workplace injuries/ toxic workplace environment. We continue to provide clinical supervision for clinicians and Grad students.
At our initial connection we provide a comprehensive Clinical Non-diagnostic mental health consultation. We work as a collaborative connection such as client focused and evidence -based approaches. We are EMDR Certified And in Advanced EMDR (A specialized trauma trained form of therapy for those who carry CPTSD, PTSD, Disassociation Disorder).
Parul Shah has over 23 years of experience in the Mental Health Field, from Frontline Social Worker to a Psychotherapist. We believe that seeking mental health services is a right and a choice. Groups
Healing Within: A Journey After Narcissistic Abuse
This 4 week peer support group is designed for women who have been in an ongoing emotional manipulation situation. This group is facilitated by a Mental Health Professional. This is a paid by fee group. (20.00 per Thursday or 80.00 in full ) Location is not disclosed due to the nature of the topic. Next Peer Support Group will begin March 2024. Clinical Supervision for Clinicians
We provide a professional group supervision and individual clinical supervision in an non-judgemental environment. The Clinical Group supervision is 90 minutes in length. Clinical Individual supervision is usually 60 minutes in length. Both group and individual supervision can be utilized as a hybrid model.

Empowering First Responder Families Peer Support
Empowering First Responder Families Peer Support Group will begin in May 2024. This service is still in the final development stage and we will share more soon. Location of the group will not be publicly disclosed to due the nature of the group.
