We'll also bring in somatic interventions to help you feel more grounded in your body.
Let me guess, there's a part of you that wants to try out counselling and another that is skeptical of whether it will work. Perhaps you tried it before and it seemed like a waste of time and money. As a skeptic myself, I'm amazed at the inner healing I've experienced after finding the right counsellor! As a trained trauma therapist, my aim is to connect with you on a deep level so you can feel safe, seen and secure in each session. Together, we can come up with a plan to achieve your goals and work through your deepest issues, whether that be unresolved PTSD, trauma, addiction, grief, anxiety, or depression.

My work is integrative, drawing from experiential, somatic, existential, psychodynamic, and cognitive approaches.
I provide counselling to adults and fellow counsellors. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious, or sensing that something needs to shift. I offer a supportive, thoughtful space to slow down and gain clarity. Together, we explore old patterns and reshape what’s no longer working, while building on what has supported you. It’s important to me that you feel safe, heard, and understood. Our work is collaborative and paced to your needs, with sessions that are calm, reflective, and grounded. My goal is to support healing, strengthen stability and security, and help you grow into a deeper, more expansive sense of self.

Are you a high-performing business professional, executive leader, or entrepreneur who is ready to reach your next level, but feels stuck at a certain ceiling, or feels like you’re slowly starting to crack. Maybe you’ve noticed yourself becoming more reactive, especially at home. Dreading visibility or high-stakes moments in your career. Struggling to switch off after work. You’re still succeeding, but it's at a high cost: over-preparing, over-functioning, and pushing harder just to maintain your standards. And underneath it all, there’s a quiet, persistent pressure: If you slow down, everything you’ve worked for could slip away.

Motherhood, career, relationships—these are some of the biggest transitions in life, and they can bring both incredible joy and deep uncertainty. Vulnerability is at the heart of these experiences, and yet so often, we feel like we have to navigate them alone. As a counsellor specializing in perinatal mental health, I offer a space where you can show up as you are—messy, anxious, overwhelmed—and know that you are seen, heard, & not alone. With a background as both a therapist & a doula, I understand the emotional weight of trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I also work with young professionals balancing ambition

Reaching out for counselling takes so much courage, even in this moment, you may be experiencing worry or fears. You may have landed on my profile because you're feeling overwhelmed, alone, or stuck in your life. Maybe it's because you're burntout or maybe it's because the same patterns keep happening. Patterns where you end up feeling disappointed or disconnected with yourself or in your relationships. I work with individuals, couples, and families through a nonjudgemental and empathetic approach to support them in unpacking patterns that leave them feeling stuck or doubtful and in creating long-lasting positive changes.

I utilize Parts Work (drawn from IFS), OEI, Cognitive-Processing Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, and somatic techniques to improve emotional regulation.
Life can be challenging, and sometimes we need someone to lean on. I'm here to listen and support you in a non-judgemental way. Our main goal is to help you curate strong self-awareness so that we can explore how your current functioning is impacted by the patterns you've learned early in life. Sometimes these ingrained, automatic habits no longer serve us, so together we can start creating new responses that better fit your current self!

When your child is struggling with big emotions, it can be hard to know how to help. Some feelings are complex and need extra support. I offer that support to children and teens through a child-centred, connection-focused approach informed by attachment theory, family systems, and mindfulness. My own childhood experiences with divorce, along with volunteering in hospice settings, have given me a deep personal understanding of grief, loss, and life transitions. As a wife and mom, I value connection, warmth, and creating safe spaces for growth.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
