There are gifts and transformations embedded within trauma. My counselling approach is holistic and relationally based with a focus on a somatic (body) awareness to bring congruency between the mind and body. Many of our wounds occurred within our most trusted relationships causing us to have difficulties getting close to loved ones. Also, we become disconnected from ourselves when we experience trauma or disruptions in relationships. The good news is, with the right support, everyone has an inner capacity to heal and transform from their struggles.

Life can feel like a lot sometimes. Stress, anxiety, or major changes can build up and leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next. Many people come to counselling simply needing a place to talk things through and feel understood. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I offer a compassionate space where you can show up just as you are. Together, we’ll gently explore what you’re experiencing, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and find practical ways to help you cope, heal, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Another area of focus is adult children of Asian/South Asian immigrants, facing cultural conflict.
Sometimes we find it challenging to understand what we are struggling with, but find that each day just doesn't bring the joy we are looking for. I hope to provide a safe, non-judgmental space, that will allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Therapy can provide insight and understanding into many of life’s experiences. I work closely with my clients to learn how they understand themselves. We then create a plan together so they are able to find the joy they are looking for.

You're capable & responsible, the one people rely on. On the outside, things look steady, even successful. Internally, there is a constant pressure to keep going, keep performing, and keep everything from falling apart. This pressure shows up as anxiety, burnout, emotional exhaustion, or tension in your relationships. You may find it difficult to switch off, slow down, or even identify what you need anymore. I work with individuals and couples who are thoughtful, high-functioning, and carrying more than they share. You are a professional, a caregiver, and a driven individual navigating stress, life transitions, and relationships.

I believe in the power of connection, and I work hard to create a safe, welcoming space where my clients can be themselves—without fear of judgment. As a Punjabi woman, I understand the unique challenges and stigma that can come with seeking support, and I’m passionate about helping clients navigate these complexities. I enjoy working with teens, adults and couples. I’m here to listen, understand, and offer support as you navigate life’s ups and downs. When life gets tough, it can feel isolating, but I’m here to help you move forward whether it's stress, anxiety, life transitions, grief, relationship issues, or personal development.

We all go through times when we feel quietly lost—like we have drifted from who we truly are. Maybe you have spent years showing up for others, doing the right thing, staying strong. I have been there too—until I could no longer hear my own voice. If you are tired or longing for something more, you are not alone. You do not need to have it all figured out. This is where I begin—by offering you a space to exhale the weight you have been carrying, to feel, to just be. Not to fix you, but to gently walk beside you as you find your way back home to yourself.

Hello, and welcome. I support individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, ocd, trauma, anger management, breakups, abusive relationships, divorce & challenges with coping. Life can feel overwhelming or even hopeless, but you don’t have to face it alone. Life can have pain in it & can still be worth living. I understand that it may be hard to believe things will get better, especially when you’re in the middle of it. Together, we can develop practical strategies to support your healing and growth. We can talk, create a therapeutic relationship then collaborate on a therapy plan. However this is all done at your pace.

You've done the work of surviving, but surviving and thriving feel like two very different things. Hi, I'm Caleb. Raised in a first-generation immigrant family in BC, I grew up attuned to how cultural identity, belonging, and family dynamics shape mental health, often in ways that go unnoticed. That lived experience, woven together with my clinical training, informs how I show up in the room. I work with adults navigating complex trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, toxic shame, dysfunctional family patterns, and challenges around identity and belonging, always through a multicultural, intergenerational lens.

FAQ - Asian Counselling
What can an Asian therapist help with?
An Asian therapist can help with the same concerns as any other therapist, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and major life transitions. How an Asian therapist can make the experience feel different, however, is the possibility of shared cultural understanding. If you identify with a background such as Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Pakistani, Korean, Vietnamese, or Japanese, working with a therapist who shares or understands aspects of your culture may help you feel more comfortable opening up on such topics.

What role can language play in therapy?
Language can play an important role in therapy because people often express emotions, family dynamics, and personal experiences differently depending on the language they are speaking. For some individuals, working with a therapist who speaks their native language, whether it be Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Korean, Vietnamese, or another language, may help sessions feel more natural and emotionally connected. Even if you are fluent in English, certain thoughts or feelings may still feel easier to communicate in your native language.

How can an Asian therapist support couples counseling or family therapy?
Cultural background can play an important role in couples counseling and family therapy, particularly when family expectations, communication styles, generational differences, or cultural traditions are influencing the relationship. An Asian therapist may help partners and family members navigate these topics with more cultural understanding and less need to explain the context behind them. For multicultural or multilingual families, a Asian therapist who is bilingual may also help ensure that each person feels heard and understood during sessions.

How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience with Asian clients?
If cultural background is important to you in therapy, it can be helpful to ask prospective therapists whether they have experience working with clients who share your cultural background or speak your preferred language. In initial conversations with potential therapists, you might also ask whether they have worked with clients experiencing concerns related to identity, intergenerational conflict, family expectations, or cultural stigma around mental health.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Asian therapists?
The directory of Asian therapists includes professionals who have shared their ethnicity in their profiles. Psychology Today uses this information to assist clients in finding a therapist who can provide a cultural match. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their ethnicity in their profiles, and they may not appear in search results for this reason; also, when the number of therapists identified as Asian is limited, the directory will also show therapists with comprehensive experience working with clients from relevant backgrounds.
