Life is a continuous journey of challenges, changes and hopefully, growth. These challenges can be isolating, the changes can be painful and the growth can be slow. I can walk beside you through these ups and downs to support and to guide. I have worked with teenagers and parents experiencing shifts in their relationship, seeking new ways to connect and grow together. I also work with folks of all ages who identify low moods, anxiety, challenging thoughts and behaviours. I have interest in supporting mothers through post partum anxiety, depression and overall health to be the best version of themselves.

My ideal client is someone who is self-aware, open to growth, and ready to explore their inner world. They may be navigating life transitions, anxiety, grief, or relationship challenges, and are seeking a grounded, compassionate space to feel seen and heard. They value emotional depth and are curious about how past experiences shape present patterns. Rooted in the Victoria community, they may also be drawn to nature, mindfulness, and integrative approaches to healing. They're not looking for quick fixes—they want lasting change.

As the mother of a toddler, I am also passionate about perinatal mental health and love working with folks who are pregnant, postpartum, or in the process of starting a family.
Struggling with disordered eating or eating disorders is SO HARD. Your mind is a muddled mess of constant thoughts about food and your body. Something that sounds like... "Maybe I’ll skip lunch with my friends because it’s just too stressful to eat food I didn’t cook myself." "I need to eat as little as possible today to make up for that shameful binge last night." "I have got to stop purging after meals but if I do I’m going to gain weight." Perhaps you are tired of being stuck in cycles of restriction, fed up with avoiding your favourite foods because you’re fearful you’ll binge, or sick of making yourself sick.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Counsellors

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
