The benefits of my approach lie in using different techniques, tailored to the client's unique personality. Some clients like a directive approach, they want to be guided, to be given an almost 'engineering' model explaining our inner life; some prefer a non-directive, client-centered approach, where they would explore their inner landscape with the therapist as a co-traveler. All clients have relational needs which need to be addressed to, and the therapeutic relationship provides safety, validation, 'repaired' parenting, mutuality, client's self-definition and empowerment. Helping clients practice autonomy is my passion!

Do you struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, and low self-esteem? Are you constantly second guessing yourself? This might be affecting all areas of your life including your relationships, setting and achieving goals, your self-confidence, or even your ability to function on a daily basis. Maybe you undervalue your worth and put the needs of others before your own. We understand how incredibly painful it is to be here. You are not alone; it is possible to feel understood and over come these challenges.

In Sanskrit, the human condition is known as "PurashArth" translated as the meaning of existence. That is we all want to be happy, we work towards being happy, and we seek eternal happiness. In my practice and personal lived experience, I have observed that we all have a desire to be 'seen', and 'heard', this is how we feel included. When these three are missing, we become stuck here and do not know how to step out into our true Self. I strongly believe that once we make that choice to seek our true Self, together the therapist and client evolve toward their goals. To find that peace and joy that is not in the far distance but here.

Hello! As a South Asian woman of colour, I have grown up and experienced living in a multicultural society, balancing the different identities that may come from being a child of immigrants as well as having peers of differing backgrounds. This has helped me develop a unique understanding of the experiences of those similar and different to me. I understand that our cultural upbringings, beliefs, and values may both help and hinder us in some ways as we grow into who we are today. We are made up of so many parts that make us who we are, and that is so important to understand and work with for your mental health and wellbeing.

Living with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, stress, or trauma can quietly shape how you see yourself and your relationships. You may find yourself overthinking, struggling with self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions. Often, these patterns are linked to early-life experiences, attachment wounds, or unmet emotional needs. My professional journey began supporting children with ASD and ADHD, where I developed a deep understanding of emotional development, attachment, and the lasting impact of early life experiences. I now support adults in exploring how these experiences shape emotional and relational patterns.

Many people reach out when relationships feel strained, co-parenting or separation feels complex, or when previous therapy was helpful but still felt incomplete. You may be looking for care that truly fits you - support that considers the whole person, integrates emotional and practical needs, and adapts to real life rather than being limited to a single approach. Life can be creative in how it brings challenges. Whatever you’re navigating, this work is designed to support healing while thoughtfully tailoring care to you, your life and your goals.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT) Counsellors
Does parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) work?
PCIT is an evidence-based treatment that has been shown to be effective across domains, including for children with behavioural problems, those on the autism spectrum, and those who have experienced early childhood trauma. Further, studies have found that the skills developed through PCIT benefit not only the child in therapy but also siblings, as the parent internalises lessons learned in sessions and is able to incorporate them into interactions with other family members.

How long does PCIT last?
The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and treatment lasts, on average, between 12 and 20 sessions. Factors that influence treatment duration include how regularly a client attends treatment, how much progress is achieved between sessions, the particular skills that need development, and the extent to which the parent and therapist see improvement.

Can PCIT be done online?
PCIT is among the therapy types best suited for video sessions. Therapists are able to communicate with parents with essentially the same ease, and by observing the parent and child at home in their normal environment, the therapist may gain additional insight into their interactions, as the child will have their normal toys and may feel more comfortable and act more naturally than they would in a therapist’s room.

Does PCIT help parents?
In addition to the skills parents develop through the treatment, PCIT has also been shown to reduce frustration, stress, and depression in parents and promote confidence and a sense of calm when dealing with their children. The desired outcomes of PCIT include a reduction in defiant and aggressive behaviour by children and an improvement in communicating their feelings productively, complying with parental instruction, and behaving according to parents’ rules. Growth in these areas can be a relief for parents.
