Of particular interest to me is working with neurodivergent folks, especially those who received an autism or ADHD diagnosis later in life.
Hello and welcome. I am a Master's level counsellor (RCC, MA - University of Victoria) who specializes in three main (often overlapping) areas: addictions, neurodivergence and complex trauma. I believe we are all on our own Hero's Journey, and as a therapist, my goal is to help you understand who you are and to help you make sense of what happened to you, so that you can move forward in a more conscious and intentional way. Beyond self-awareness, I believe the purpose of therapy is to transform the negative emotional patterns and beliefs that have been influencing your thoughts, behaviors and relationships.

Racialized adults, trauma-exposed professionals, neurodiverse people, and others. I've noticed a trend... Some people wait as long as they can before getting support, others reach out early, but no one is better off alone. During my time counselling adults, families, and youth, I've seen first-hand how Connection is at the heart of Healing. Trauma can hold us back. Neurodiversity complicates things (like navigating a society not designed with you in mind!). Grief, Loss, and other Life Transitions add extra Stress during trying times. With support, I'm confident you'll find your way forward.

Relationship Counselling: Our relationships impact the quality of our lives. When the relationships that are important to us, with partners, family members, friends, peers, and co-workers are challenged and/or suffering, life is a very different experience than when our relationships are healthy & thriving. (Conflict, communication, trust, attachment, change & growth, love). Individual Counselling: I work with adults and youth. Often focused on personal growth, exploring old behaviours and patterns, collaborating to create new ones that will serve clients better in achieving a fulfilling quality of life. (Anxiety, ADHD, depression).

Located near Uvic, my practice continues to be working with children, youth and adults who are experiencing anxiety, ADHD, trauma and the behavioural outcomes that accompany these experiences. This includes working with families and the family system to create treatment and interventions that can aid the client and their family to develop a greater understanding of the causes and effects of their dynamics. I often build my counselling relationships with all family members, either individually or in small group sessions, to create a clear picture of the family dynamic we will be working with.

I work with clients navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationships, developmental disorders, trauma and self-esteem. I support clients in befriending their nervous system, recognizing that it plays a fundamental role in shaping their experiences, beliefs and attachment patterns. By learning to understand and work with their body-mind relationship, clients can cultivate a deeper sense of agency, safety, and resilience. This process cultivates greater self-awareness and adaptability, fostering healthier attachments and promoting emotional regulation for a more empowered, balanced life.

I am particularly interested in working with those experiencing addiction, trauma, sexual orientation or gender identity issues, life transitions, ADHD, burnout, mood challenges, chronic illness/pain, and grief.
My goal is to honour the best in you while holistically making space for what it means to be a human on this weird, wonderful, messy, precious, sublime adventure we call life. I am mindful of the immense courage and vulnerability it takes to enlist the support of a helping professional and honour this by bringing my most authentic, present, and respectful self to each and every therapeutic interaction.

I offer psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessments primarily for children to young adults. I specialize in learning disorders, ADHD, executive function challenges, as well as the impact of complex developmental and neurological issues on learning and behavior. I do not provide diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorders, however I believe that a comprehensive assessment to outline how an individual on the spectrum learns best can be extremely helpful.
