There are times when we just don’t feel like ourselves. For some of us, this means feeling overwhelmed by our thoughts and emotions, while for others the disconnect can come from feeling nothing at all. This internal “ickiness” can show up through our emotions, thoughts, or in our body, and is often a scary, confusing, and unsettling experience. This intuitive feeling is typically caused by misalignment; whether it’s having conflict within ourselves, feeling out of step with those close to us, or feeling out of place in the world around us.

I am a queer, neurodivergent, mixed Indigenous Social Worker and Therapist. In my practice, I work primarily with queer and trans folks, mixed-Indigenous clients, parents, neurodivergent individuals, and trauma-impacted folks, including those who have received a diagnosis of PTSD and C-PTSD. I also specialize in supporting children and families navigating trauma, behavioural challenges and disabilities. Healing can feel impossible, given responsibilities and systems that impact us on every level. As all people indigenous to somewhere on the earth, we have always known how to heal. It is time to reclaim that for ourselves.

Do you feel like your mind is always racing, your emotions hit harder than other people’s, and no matter how much you try, life still feels overwhelming? Many of the adults I work with are living with ADHD, intense emotional ups and downs, or long-standing relationship patterns shaped by attachment wounds. On the outside, you may appear capable, but internally, you might feel exhausted, reactive, misunderstood, or stuck in cycles of self-doubt and shame. You are not too much — you’ve been carrying too much without the right support.

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined. Transitions, relationships, and the ups and downs of our inner world can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or questioning your direction. You may find yourself in familiar relationship patterns, feeling anxious beneath the surface, or noticing patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or struggling to set boundaries, even when you know something needs to change. Part of you understands what’s happening, but another part still feels stuck. Together, we’ll look at the patterns underneath what you’re experiencing, not just the symptoms, so change feels meaningful and lasting.

It takes courage to seek and begin therapy, and I value and respect that. I am passionate about working with all people, however they choose to identify themselves. I work with adults, young to old. I consider each individual as a "world unto themself"; I work with your goals, your spark, your way. My goal is to help you find the tools to move towards what you most want. I'm on your side. I draw from therapies such as solution focused, trauma based, CBT and ACT. Possibility lies in the present - what we do, how we choose to act, alone and with others - this is the arena of change.

First of all, I wanted to say thank you. Looking for a therapist, for yourself or for someone close to you, requires energy and courage. Whether you are experiencing a particularly difficult or different situation recently or for a long time, whether you are in a deeper and more latent reflection, therapy is an answer to those aches and thoughts that fill and overwhelm you. Respecting yourself by offering you the possibility to feel better is, to my opinion, the most important step you are going to take for you. I propose therapy in English and French.

My mentor once asked me why I wanted to be a therapist and I said I wanted to help people out of hell. I personally have known such pain and therapy saved my life. I work one-on-one with co-dependents, people with addiction and anxious and/or depressed individuals. I worked for 30 years in an outpatient clinic and used such models of therapy as CBT, DBT and client centred. I especially like to work with people suffering from trauma. So many memories from childhood lie buried; not conscious and yet they have such a self-destructive impact on our identity, emotions and behaviour.

Not all challenges respond to standard interventions. I work with a broad range of clients, amongst them those whose fast or layered thought processes, heightened sensitivity, or visionary orientation can place them out of step with conventional models. This includes professionals in high-responsibility roles balancing visible leadership with private complexity, as well as reflective individuals seeking a path that honours their actual experience.
