Are you unsure about therapy? If you're feeling self-conscious about where to start, you're not alone. You may be a professional navigating work pressure and burnout, struggling with shame, sexuality, or breakup challenges, or have questions of identity that have become harder to ignore over time. Maybe you're a couple seeking to understand recurring patterns of conflict and disconnection. You may just need a safe and calm space to explore beneath the surface and allow for your own needs to be met. All you know is what used to work is no longer working in the same way.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years leading in healthcare while living with the kind of internal pressure you may be carrying now. I know what it’s like to keep functioning, meeting expectations, and showing up, while feeling mentally overloaded or emotionally shut down.
You might look fine on the outside, but inside you feel tense, flat, self-critical, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift on your own. You’re thoughtful and capable, but something feels off, and pushing harder hasn’t helped. If you’ve been holding a lot together while quietly struggling, you’re not alone.

Are you dealing with anxiety and struggling to cope in your day to day life? Do you feel down sometimes to the point that life seems hopeless and exhausting? Most of my clients are wired a little differently, and the work fits the wiring. I see neurodivergent adults and youth: the ADHD engineer who can build anything except a morning routine, the creative whose best ideas arrive at 2am while the paperwork never arrives at all, the parent trying to decode a kid who doesn't run on the standard operating system. Therapy with me is practical. We figure out how your particular brain actually works, then build strategies around it instead of forcing it into shapes that never fit. The goal: less overwhelm, more traction, and a daily life that feels like yours.

I work with people and help to untangle what feels overwhelming and bring clarity and relief in all areas of life, including with anger, shame, relationships & disconnection, parenting, stress & anxiety, burnout, grief & loss, life transitions, social media & doom-scrolling, new diagnoses, and climate-related emotions.
We can untangle how bigger systems (work, society, climate) fuel stress, so you stop blaming yourself for totally normal human reactions.
And we'll view therapy as a launchpad, not a lifelong commitment. We'll set clear milestones and celebrate every win along the way.

Life keeps moving, but something inside may not have caught up yet. Many people come to counselling with a quiet sense of being unsettled or out of step, often during times of transition, loss, burnout, or change. Life may look fine on the outside while something feels unresolved within. You might feel stuck, uncertain, or unsure how to make sense of what you're carrying. I work particularly well with men, people navigating questions of faith and doubt, those in recovery, and people holding more than one cultural world at once. If any of that sounds familiar, there is a place to start here.

I work with high-capacity adults, including those with ADHD or autism, who feel under-challenged, mentally overactive, or unable to fully express what they know is inside them. Many of my clients aren’t struggling to function—they’re struggling to feel fully engaged, aligned, or utilized. If you know you’re capable of more, but can’t quite translate that into your life, we’ll work to bridge that gap using somatics, relational work, and depth-oriented approaches that move beyond insight into real change. My approach is mutlmodal, adaptable, and personalized for each client, with the aims of supporting lasting, sustainable, change.

Everyone's story is unique and no therapy session follows a predictable path. Yet the following steps provide a general outline of how your therapy sessions with me may progress. We investigate your particular problem thoroughly, its destructive dramas and dark messages, until we see exactly how it turns up in your day. Just as important, we clarify your core values, hopes, and skills from which emerges a clear direction for your life.

Other common areas related to my focus revolve around men's issues in life, relationships, and work.
Porn addiction can slowly wear down trust in a relationship, leaving one partner feeling deeply hurt and inadequate while the other feels stuck in a loop of guilt, secrecy, and broken promises despite all their willpower. With time, this often turns into growing distance or even a sense of betrayal. If this is your reality, you are not alone. What may start as normal screen time or social media can slide into porn sites, cam sites, or OnlyFans and become a pattern that is hard to control, even for men disciplined in every other area of life.

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.
How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.
What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
