I started my career as a paramedic and remain involved. My experiences with trauma and systemic failures inspired me to become a social worker therapist. My work is deeply rooted in person-centered, strength-based, and systems theories. Each individual has unique strengths and wisdom to be enlightened and utilized during adversities. I believe that people's struggles are often related to experiencing adverse events, trauma, and systemic challenges. I strive to offer a holistic bio-psycho-social approach to support you in understanding how the past is impacting you now, and to explore how you can regain agency.

Together, we will explore your goals, which may include career or relationship transitions, becoming more physically active, managing stress, or learning how to be more open with others. My aim for therapy is to help reveal underlying difficulties, negative self-talk, your needs, and barriers to your goals, to help you discover your own strengths and values that can guide a calmer and goal-directed mind. We will explore incremental and manageable changes that you can implement towards living your life in ways that are in line with your values, while helping you learn to approach yourself and others with kindness and calmness.

I am a person-centered and trauma-informed counsellor who has had the pleasure of providing counselling services to a diverse range of populations, such as young adults, queer folks, people in non-traditional relationship structures (polyamory), BIPOC, children of immigrants, and folks with depression and/or anxiety.
Our upbringing creates our stories. Our experiences and relationships shape our lives. We do not always get to choose our past, but if you are feeling alone and lost, we can start finding change by reviewing your past, understanding your present, and writing your new paper path forward towards the life you want to live. One that is aligned with your values, beliefs, and goals as well as finding others that share those with you.
