LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapists in Vancouver, BC
I have over 8 months of experience helping young LGBTQ adults.
Are you struggling with perfectionism, overwhelmed with the day-to-day, or needing support with your relationships? Whatever you are dealing with right now, you are not alone, and I will offer you the space to share your story with empathy and respect. It's exhausting to feel stuck in negative thought loops or to feel stress impact the connections you value the most. You may know exactly what needs to change, but feel lost in how to get there.

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating: identity shifts, neurodivergence, religious trauma, LGBTQ+ experiences, relationship strain, and life transitions.
At some point, something shifted. Maybe a relationship you counted on started fracturing. Maybe the faith community or career that once defined you no longer fits. Maybe you're figuring out who you are or who you're allowed to be for the first time.
That kind of disorientation is exhausting. And it often comes with a particular loneliness, because the people around you don't always understand what you're going through.

Are you different? So am I. I specialize in working with people who break the mold. This includes neuro-divergent adults (ADHD, Autistic, C-PTSD), chronically ill, 2SLGBTQ, and racialized people. Focusing on resiliency and emotional intelligence, I use evidence-based practices and creative interventions to use the wounds of the past as seeds for growth. Adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and relationship fractures disrupt our feelings of safety and trust. In order to thrive, we need to heal.

Are you overwhelmed, having highs and lows you can't explain, or feeling like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way? I support women with trauma, perimenopause, sexuality, depression, ADHD, domestic abuse, and unhealthy relationships. My approach is warm, direct, and trauma-informed. Understanding what's happening is exactly where we start — and it's the kind of work I genuinely love. I'm often the therapist women turn to when other approaches haven't felt quite right. This is your story to write — and I'd love to be part of it. Email me to begin.

I know that it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help at times when we feel distressed, overwhelmed, vulnerable, confused, wrought with sadness, shame, hurt, guilt, intense worry... Some of us have been told or made feel that we do not deserve better, or that we are not good enough, or smart enough, or thin enough, or strong enough, or funny enough... Sometimes we seek refuge in food, alcohol, drugs, sex, or self-harm to cope with the belief that we can never feel differently about ourselves or the world.

Are you new to therapy, or frustrated with not making progress? I specialize in taking clients deeper than they have gone before to really heal and gain insight into why you stay stuck. Symptoms are of the same variety for all people, anxiety, depression, self criticism, relationship conflict, difficulty with mood or emotional regulation, obsession etc. However, underlying your symptoms are habits and patterns of thinking and the way you use defences to avoid experiencing pain and fear. I will help you navigate the labyrinth of how and why you think and behave in the ways you do to open up new pathways for living more fully.

You may be navigating life between cultures, carrying family expectations that feel misaligned, or quietly questioning your identity, relationships, or sense of belonging. My clients often arrive at a crossroads — something feels off, but it's hard to name. They may be processing immigration or cultural transition, untangling intergenerational family patterns, or exploring their sexuality or neurodivergent experience for the first time. Together, we slow down, make space for what's been hard to carry, and gently work toward clarity, connection, and a more grounded sense of self.

Chronic pain and trauma specialist. Maybe you've spent years searching for answers, trying treatment after treatment, only to feel discouraged and alone. Caught between pushing through and paying for it later. It makes sense that you grieve for the life you expected, feel uncertainty about the future, and are tired of navigating a world that doesn’t understand. Your losses are real, and the loneliness that comes from feeling misunderstood and disconnected from an imagined life. It may seem there is no relief from the struggle with resentment, frustration and grief as you try to come to terms with the impact of pain on your life.

You don't have to navigate this alone. Whether you're facing the lingering impact of trauma medical, familial, or experiential living with ADHD, chronic pain or disability, moving through life transitions, or managing anxiety, depression, or the weight of systemic oppression, your story matters here.

When our most vulnerable parts are seen, witnessed, heard, and accepted by another, healing can begin. You may feel like you are locked on autopilot, just going through the motions. Or perhaps feel isolated from others, disconnected from yourself, caught in painful patterns and uncertain how to move towards meaningful change. Often, beneath these experiences is a longing for greater connection, self-understanding, relief, and a deeper sense of aliveness. Together, we work to increase nervous system awareness, make sense of past experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Life can feel overwhelming - and you don’t have to face it alone. Many women care for everyone else first, often feeling guilty for taking up space or asking for what they need. You may be struggling with anxiety, self-criticism, relationship issues, or major life transitions that leave you wondering, “Who am I? Is this the life I want?” I help women navigate change with warmth, compassion, and deep emotional support so they can reconnect with themselves and build confidence in who they are.
