Equitable Life of Canada Therapists in Vancouver, BC
Navigating a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person can be overwhelming. Anxiety, depression, anger, and low self-esteem often stem from years of feeling misunderstood or unsupported in social, academic, or work environments. In therapy, we can explore your strengths, challenges, and goals—empowering you to work with your brain, not against it. I work with individuals with conditions such as ADHD and Autism (ASD) to establish coping strategies, gain personal insight and address lasting trauma.

Many of the people I work with carry stories of migration, loss, and starting over. As an Arab woman who moved to Canada during my younger adult years, I understand what it means to rebuild life in a new place while holding on to language, culture, and dignity. I work especially well with clients who feel overwhelmed, unseen, or emotionally burdened, and who need a space where their experiences are understood without explanation.

To all appearances you’ve got a great life. You’re smart, driven, & successful. But privately, you sometimes struggle with negative thoughts you have about who you are, what you are worth, and what you've done with your life. It can be challenging to articulate our emotions and experiences - using art materials in therapy can help us express and more deeply understand ourselves. Art therapy can support those wishing to explore stress, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, grief and loss, trauma, life direction, chronic illness and more. I aim to support each client as they grow and heal, restore internal balance and harmony, and connect with the sparks that align them with their most authentic and whole selves. Sessions combine talk therapy with art making - art expressions can offer wisdom and insight as clients embark on their therapeutic journey.

I specialize in working with young adults, helping clients overcome barriers and reach their goals through a direct, authentic approach that prioritizes collaboration and building a relationship. I work with clients navigating Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Grief, Trauma, and other challenges. As a child of Soviet immigrants, I also speak Russian fluently. While I grew up in Canada and speak Russian with an accent, it does allow me to connect with clients who feel more comfortable in the language. It also allows me to better understand some of the challenges faced by newcomers in our community.

I prioritize a non-judgmental and deeply empathetic approach to anxiety and other concerns that's individualized to your needs. I want to help you understand your challenges and feel confident in your ability to grow through them.
One of my favourite aspects of helping others is that moment when it clicks for a client that the change they want is possible. I'd be thrilled at the chance to support you toward that moment and beyond. Clients have brought a wide variety of concerns to my office, and I've helped them grow their strength around difficult feelings, set clear paths forward, and unburden themselves of immobilizing shame.

You look fine on the outside, but inside your nervous system is always on edge. Your mind races, your body stays tense, sleep is hard, and you’re constantly scanning for what could go wrong. You’re tired of managing anxiety and want real relief. You want to feel safe in your body, trust yourself again, and move through life without fear quietly running the show.

Maybe you’ve been feeling emotionally drained, moving through the days with a quiet heaviness. Or you’re questioning who you are, especially when parts of your identity pull you in different directions. You might feel stuck in relationships, unheard, or caught in repeating patterns.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I offer a client-centered, culturally responsive space. With a background in corporate life, I understand the toll of stress, perfectionism, and burnout—especially when layered with cultural or relational expectations. As an Asian female, I bring sensitivity to the experience of navigating multiple worlds.

I support clients in navigating emotional challenges through warm, compassionate, evidence‑based therapy. What first drew me to counselling was experiencing how healing it can be to feel truly seen and understood within a safe, authentic therapeutic relationship. As a holistic, trauma‑informed therapist, I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and insomnia. I also specialize in supporting Highly Sensitive Persons (HSP) by helping them understand their trait, reduce overwhelm, and build emotional resilience.

As a queer woman of colour you may struggle with finding a balance to live with societal norms while wanting to live authentic to your choices and values. You may often feel like you are the one that doesn't fit in with groups because you challenge the status quo of what's normal and often tell yourself you know you "should" do something but find yourself at a stand still not knowing why you can't move forward but understand why you need to change things.

As a neurodiverse counsellor living in Vancouver, I work with adults navigating self-esteem, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, or trying to make sense of your experiences and identity. I offer a non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s been coming up for you, process past experiences, and reconnect with what matters most. I value transparency, compassion, and showing up authentically, and I believe that building trust starts with aligning what I say with how I show up in the room, virtual or in-person.

Relationship Therapist. Are you asking yourself ‘Is this struggle because I’m being difficult or because they are?’ and ‘Should I be able to handle this better than I am?’ Are your relationship interactions causing you to shut down or flare up? You may be holding on to unspoken doubts and resentments that feel unsolvable, but you haven’t given up on your relationship. Feeling frustrated and hopeless about how to create the connections you want is understandable. We enter relationships with idealistic expectations and promises that inevitably get broken, and we don’t have a roadmap to repair them. I help partners find that roadmap.
