Many of my clients come to me because they feel stuck. Whether it’s anxiety, relationship issues, depression, anger, low motivation, ADHD, or a general sense that something isn’t working, it can be overwhelming to face these challenges alone, especially when there is so much information out there that can be confusing or conflicting. You may feel unsure about where to start or skeptical about whether counselling can help. That’s completely okay.
My approach is grounded, practical, and personalized. I work with adults and teens to create a counselling experience that fits the individual. Your personality, your goals, and your pace.

One of my clients described the process of therapy "like finally turning the lights on in a room that had been dark." It takes courage to seek counselling. It means committing to letting ourselves see, feel, and start to heal what we are no longer willing to keep dark. The joy in my work comes from helping people 'turn the lights on,' and witnessing what happens when they do.

Have you ever gone through times where you felt like your life was unravelling? Or are struggling to feel like you belong in your own life or with others?

" Instead, I use a blend of neurodivergent-informed DBT, ACT, and light coaching to help people better understand themselves and shift how they interact with their environments and stressors.
I offer individual and relationship counselling for adults who identify as Autistic or ADHD. Many of the people I work with are just beginning to explore what being neurodivergent means for them. They’re looking to better understand themselves and how they navigate the world. Living with ADHD or Autism can come with real challenges—but one of the hardest parts is often the lack of clear, empowering information. Without it, it’s tough to find the tools needed to build a life that truly fits. If you're just beginning to learn about ADHD or Autism, you might feel unsure about what it all means.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Counsellors
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.
Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behaviour and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.
What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behaviour, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.
How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioural change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behaviour; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
