You may be experiencing: Anxiety, Overwhelm, Fears, Bouts of Depression, Low Self Esteem , Sadness, Guilt and Shame.
You know the pain of feeling stuck. You've done everything you think you 'should' to make the situation better but things still aren't working out the way they should. You don't know what you're doing wrong. Perhaps you can't shake the feeling that there's something else out there for you but duty, responsibility and obligation keep you in the same situation. Maybe you long to do something different but the fear of what might happen stops you from making the changes you really would like to make.

I offer expert counselling for a number of difficulties that you may deal with in your life, be it problems with managing stress, improving your self esteem or learning to set boundaries.
Psychotherapy can sometimes be a daunting task to undertake. After all, it's always hard to talk about thoughts and memories that hurt, feelings that are difficult to express or strive to change behaviours that feel unproductive. My years of experience as a counsellor however have taught me that in reality the hardest and most important step on this journey is the desire to change and the opennes to take a look at the world from a different lense. I welcome clinets from all backgrounds and have extensively worked with immigrants and young adults as I have much experience with a variety of contemporary problems that they may face.

Decipher Counselling Art Therapy Studio offers creative, justice-oriented therapy for people dealing with experiences of invalidation, including any and all underrepresented communities. This may include processing trauma, navigating identities, life transitions, and power differences. We aim to create a space where people of all intersectionalities can feel like they belong. To feel like they can be themselves in their most unique ways. Where their stories will be heard and held. We work to decolonize therapy in our therapy practice and personally around our identities.

There are so many reasons a person might choose to seek counselling. Perhaps some life experience has left you feeling overwhelmed and disconnected; perhaps you struggle with depression or anxiety. There may be behaviours that you are engaging in that you don’t feel good about or are causing problems in your life, or maybe there’s a more general feeling of malaise or low self esteem . If you want to move forward in your life, change behaviours or unwanted patterns; restore a sense of meaning and purpose; build confidence and vitality; and learn healthier ways to cope with life's challenges... I believe I can help!

Welcoming New Clients Sometimes it’s easier to say I’m fine – instead of admitting the truth, even to yourself. The truth might be that you are feeling sad or lonely. The truth might be that you are feeling insecure or hopeless. The truth might be that you are disappointed or hurt, anxious or maybe embarrassed. The truth might be that you are feeling ashamed. The truth might be that you are minimizing, avoiding or ignoring core parts of your identity. Maybe you have inadvertently locked yourself into what you think is socially acceptable?

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
