I employ a range of mindfulness, internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic, and person-centred approaches, tailoring each to the client's specific needs.
Do you feel alone in your struggle? Are you looking for a safe place to talk? As a psychotherapist, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience to my work. My personal and professional journey has given me deep insight into neurodiversity, C-PTSD, sexuality, and anxiety. Further, I work with religious trauma and disentanglement, and I have extensive knowledge of the Jehovah’s Witness religion. These experiences have shaped my understanding of human resilience and inform the nonjudgmental presence I bring to the therapy room.

I am trained in many therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural, Gestalt, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, that I draw from depending on the client's needs.
Life is a journey, and sometimes life's path offers rough terrain. Sometimes all we need is for someone to walk with us, and support us through life's challenges. As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor I strive to help clients gain awareness into their personal struggles, and ultimately find healing in such areas. I aim to offer a safe, warm and welcoming environment where clients can feel supported, validated and ultimately find hope.

I focus on working with adults, and couples using an eclectic approach combining Brief Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions along with Family Systems and aspects of Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic therapy.
My practice has developed to focus on working with individuals in middle to late adulthood who are experiencing life transitions relating to personal, social and work challenges. For example, separation or divorce, isolation and loneliness, or burnout, stress and lack of motivation. These concerns are often multi-layered, historical and rooted in experiences and how we communicate. This is why I work with individuals and couples in a relational approach. Exploring from this lens allows me to offer a combination of interventions that can be short term and focused or longer to take the time to explore how your concerns at your pace.

"Life has many ways of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once.” ― Paulo Coelho. We have the ability as humans to overcome adversity, trauma and life altering stressors. You may clearly know what is bothering you or it may be deep in your unconscious, regardless, there needs to be a feeling. Whether the feeling is the desire for change or the awareness that you need help; it is the first step in your healing. The goal is to process the feelings that hold you back, thus freeing up space for positive memories, healthy coping, and self compassion.

Our past experiences impact us in ways we may not even realize. Our nervous system jumps in to protect us in ways that it has helped us survive in the past (this could look like feeling foggy, anxious, depressed or numb). This often prevents us from operating how we wish to. Working to reconnect the body with the mind to our present, adult self can help resolve this disconnection. I believe that we all deserve to experience connection, empathy, attunement and safety and that this is often the missing piece.

I understand how culture, family expectations, identity, and belonging can shape the way we move through the world. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, navigating difficult relationships, processing trauma, or questioning who they are outside of the roles they've always been expected to fulfill. I work with teens and adults who are exploring their identity, healing from complex or relational trauma, moving through life transitions, or struggling with self-worth, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm.

The Spaces Between Counselling .....The Power of Perception The greatest growth my clients experience from our work together is a new way of seeing and experiencing their lives. I'll show you how to move from hopelessness, loneliness, frustration, and fear to clarity and peace. We'll use your struggle as your power spot to create change. Although this can be difficult, that discomfort acts as a motivation to change. That is its job. You are at a place where all the possibilities and richness of life are yours to be found. I can help you take your next steps and I'd be honoured to walk with you.

My ideal client is someone feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions. They may face relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or the pressures of navigating multiple cultural identities. They’re seeking a safe, non-judgmental space to feel heard, understood, and supported. Their goals include building emotional resilience, improving relationships, strengthening self-identity, and developing coping tools. They come to therapy not only for relief but to live more authentically and in alignment with their values. I meet them where they are, collaborate on a path forward, and support meaningful change.

I draw from NARM, Somatic Experiencing, IFS, and psychodynamic therapy to help with complex trauma, shame, and disorganized attachment.
I work with people who feel emotionally shut down, overwhelmed, or like they’re just going through the motions. These are often signs of disconnection — from the body, from others, or from the version of yourself you want to return to. Many of my clients are navigating complex or relational trauma, shame, grief, or the impact of early experiences like emotional neglect or sexual trauma. They may struggle with feeling too much or not enough, with boundaries, or with the weight of patterns they no longer want to carry. What they want is to feel safer in their body, more present in their relationships, and more like themselves again.

Hello! As a South Asian woman of colour, I have grown up and experienced living in a multicultural society, balancing the different identities that may come from being a child of immigrants as well as having peers of differing backgrounds. This has helped me develop a unique understanding of the experiences of those similar and different to me. I understand that our cultural upbringings, beliefs, and values may both help and hinder us in some ways as we grow into who we are today. We are made up of so many parts that make us who we are, and that is so important to understand and work with for your mental health and wellbeing.

Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
