Most of my clients are dealing with trauma, narcissistic abuse, challenging relationships, substance use, workplace difficulties, and emotional distress.
I meet my clients with empathy, curiosity, and understanding, recognizing that many of us carry unhealed wounds that influence how we think, feel, and act. My understanding of mental health and relationships continues to develop through lived experience and my professional commitments to education, training, and supervision.

Whether you’re navigating the confusion & frustration of narcissistic abuse, healing from loss (of someone, something, or a version of yourself), or trying to find loving peace in your relationships, I want you to know—you are worth kindness & respect.
Let’s take a moment & I’ll pour a warm cup of tea or coffee—we’ll simply talk for now. Life can be pretty heavy sometimes, can't it? The deep pain of feeling unloved, unappreciated, constantly criticized or blamed along with grief, loss or relationship struggles & conflict —can be a lot to carry on your own. Hi, I’m Jen, a counsellor who works with adults & believes in soft spaces & genuine human connection. This isn’t about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It's not about blaming or vilifying anyone or anything either. It’s about sitting beside you in whatever you’re holding right now & gently working through it together.

People with adhd, personality disorders, bpd, npd, families of people impacted by personality disorders.
When you notice there is something getting in the way of living your best life, remember that the “obstacle is the way”. This means that the way to the life you want is through this difficulty, which can become an entryway into more of what you want. I am here to help you move through obstacles until they become the way towards your best life. My goal as a therapist is to help people live a more balanced and connected life. I’m in my element as I create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental counseling environment, where people can explore the complexities of their lives. I work with clients from a holistic perspective.

Hello! As a South Asian woman of colour, I have grown up and experienced living in a multicultural society, balancing the different identities that may come from being a child of immigrants as well as having peers of differing backgrounds. This has helped me develop a unique understanding of the experiences of those similar and different to me. I understand that our cultural upbringings, beliefs, and values may both help and hinder us in some ways as we grow into who we are today. We are made up of so many parts that make us who we are, and that is so important to understand and work with for your mental health and wellbeing.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Counsellors

What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?

By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?

Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?

It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
