Do you feel capable of more, but something keeps getting in the way? You may be dealing with burnout, that looks like, anxiety, depression, or self-doubt, and despite your efforts, you feel stuck. Many of the people who work with me feel this way. They want to overcome burnout from the rat race we call normal and understand themselves better, develop practical tools, and begin making meaningful changes in their lives. Drawing on over a decade of experience in counselling and personal training, I work with youth & adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, and trauma.

Throughout our lives we go through experiences that help define who we are. These moments of connection and isolation, fulfillment and confusion are foundational events that make us, us. These can be life altering experiences; societal forces, traumatic events, complicated relationships, or a series of distressing events that we carry for the rest of our lives. Working through these experiences can be scary. Therapy can help us unpack these moments to lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives. In our sessions, we will explore who you are; your world, beliefs, and values.

Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone. As a warm, approachable therapist, I help individuals and couples find clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful change. My ideal client is someone who's stuck in life struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or self-doubt. They want a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their emotions, understand patterns, and build resilience. Their goal is to regain control, find inner peace, and create meaningful connections. They come ready to grow because they know healing is the key to living a fuller, more authentic life.

If you’re the kind of person who overthinks everything, feels pressure to keep it together, and rarely talks about your own struggles, therapy can be a place to finally exhale. I work with people who feel stuck between expectations, relationships, and their own inner pressure, helping them slow down, understand their patterns, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned.

I believe everyone has the capacity for growth, even during life's most difficult moments. My approach is grounded in the understanding that struggle is a natural part of being human and that lasting change begins with feeling heard. I support children (8+), teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, etc. As a male therapist, I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I strive to create a space where clients, particularly boys and men, can explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment.

I see counselling as a safe space to talk through whatever is on your mind, whether you’re feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or stuck with a big decision or life transition. Some clients come in for support with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, relationship challenges, identity questions, or adjusting to a new diagnosis and figuring out what that means for them. In counselling, we can explore strong emotions, make sense of what you’re experiencing, work through grief or change, and find practical next steps that feel right for you. At the end of the day, counseling is your space—focused on what matters most to you.

It’s tough trying to find the right counsellor, especially if your plate's already pretty full. Most people I work with are carrying stress, uncertainty, or an impression that things shouldn’t be this hard. You don’t need perfect words or a clear plan when we meet - just a sense that it’s time for things to go a bit differently. In sessions, you can expect to build skills to take care of yourself, your life, and others with greater clarity and compassion. Regardless of what we focus on, know that you'll be welcomed exactly as you are. You’ll find an environment where all parts of you can be seen, understood, and respected.

Imagine you’re sitting across from each other again…
Not as enemies. Not as strangers. Just… you two. Imagine your hands don’t pull away this time.
Imagine your eyes meet—and don’t look down. Imagine the words you never said…
finally finding their way out. Imagine the silence isn’t heavy—
it’s safe. Imagine the anger softens…
and underneath it, something honest is still there.
Imagine a kind of love that still has dignity—
respect, even in the pain. Maybe nothing is the same as before.
But maybe… something real is still possible. You don’t have to imagine it alone. Couples Counselling — where the conversation begins again.

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
