Hello! As a South Asian woman of colour, I have grown up and experienced living in a multicultural society, balancing the different identities that may come from being a child of immigrants as well as having peers of differing backgrounds. This has helped me develop a unique understanding of the experiences of those similar and different to me. I understand that our cultural upbringings, beliefs, and values may both help and hinder us in some ways as we grow into who we are today. We are made up of so many parts that make us who we are, and that is so important to understand and work with for your mental health and wellbeing.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we need someone to lean on. I'm here to listen and support you in a non-judgemental way. Our main goal is to help you curate strong self-awareness so that we can explore how your current functioning is impacted by the patterns you've learned early in life. We are a specialized team of mental health professionals providing high-quality counselling and trauma therapy to individuals and couples. We know that talk therapy is beneficial, but we realized that many of our clients’ problems require a deeper and more integrative approach. Stressful and traumatic experiences leave lasting impacts on peoples’ minds and their bodies, which can make them feel stuck in the same patterns. By integrating neurobiologically-based therapies such as EMDR, OEI and Somatic Experiencing into talk therapy (CBT, narrative), our team specializes in helping people break free from discouragement and overwhelm.

As a trained trauma therapist, my approach gets to the root of your long-standing problems. Experiences of stress and trauma leave lasting impacts on the brain, body and psyche, disrupting our mood, energy, and thinking patterns. These impacts can not be undone by “talk therapy” alone. In addition to being a talk therapist, I am trained in a variety of neurobiologically-based trauma processing therapies. These techniques can release the impacts of stress and trauma, freeing you to pursue the life you want. If you’ve been feeling stuck, discouraged and overwhelmed, consider whether stress and trauma have been holding you back.

We all go through times when we feel quietly lost—like we have drifted from who we truly are. Maybe you have spent years showing up for others, doing the right thing, staying strong. I have been there too—until I could no longer hear my own voice.
If you are tired or longing for something more, you are not alone. You do not need to have it all figured out.
This is where I begin—by offering you a space to exhale the weight you have been carrying, to feel, to just be. Not to fix you, but to gently walk beside you as you find your way back home to yourself.

Welcome, and thank you for taking this brave step toward healing.
My practice is rooted in helping you rebuild confidence, reclaim agency, and move toward self-actualization in ways that align with your values. It can be difficult to see a clear path from where you are to where you want to be—especially when you’ve been shaped by coercion, abuse, or burnout. I believe real change grows from honest, grounded moments—not from dramatic shifts, but from steady, compassionate steps.

We are all travelling through life, finding and losing track of ourselves. there comes a time where we may feel unaligned and stuck with our current path. Bringing awareness to our path allows a moment to recenter ourselves to understand where we’d like to go next.
At its heart, this practice is about connection within yourself and with others. It’s about learning to listen to your inner world, honour your story, and wander this life with more authenticity and self-compassion. The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one you will ever have, and nurturing it is a powerful act of care.

Cognitive Processing (CPT) Counsellors
How does cognitive processing therapy work?
A CPT therapist helps a client evaluate their thoughts about the trauma they experienced, focusing on maladaptive or self-blaming thoughts that can exacerbate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression. The therapist will work with a client to help them learn to challenge such thoughts and consider different perspectives. The therapist is also likely to ask a client to work on these techniques at home between meetings, such as writing an account of their trauma that can be read aloud during a future session.
What is cognitive processing therapy for PTSD?
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of cognitive-behavioural therapy primarily used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to treat individuals who experienced abuse or violence, who survived natural disasters, who were first responders to such incidents, or who otherwise experienced trauma.
How long does cognitive processing therapy last?
CPT is a short-term therapy. Whether conducted one-on-one or in a group, a complete set of CPT sessions typically includes 12 weekly sessions, along with tasks for clients to complete at home, although this can vary depending on a client’s needs or a therapist’s particular treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes.
How effective is cognitive processing therapy?
A large body of research supports the use of CPT to treat people experiencing PTSD, finding it to be effective among different age groups, either in one-on-one therapy sessions or in a group therapy environment. Research suggests that although the initial sessions may be difficult, clients tend to begin to feel positive progress after the first few sessions, and that the benefits tend to last well after the therapy ends.
