My approach integrates somatic (body-based) therapy and attachment based therapy to help bring unconscious patterns and unresolved wounds—often rooted in early caregiver relationships—into conscious awareness.
Do you feel lost, burnt out, or that you're barely surviving and can't catch a break? I support clients through the messy and complicated periods of life. As humans we face all sorts of challenges - from big life transitions, to challenging relationships dynamics, issues with mood (like anxiety or depression), trauma from the past that keeps getting in the way, or just general "life" (like parenting, finances, health conditions). Therapy is the space to get some support, learn some tools, and find some insight on the patterns which will help meaningful shifts in your life from surviving to thriving.

Are you exhausted from repeating the same painful relationship patterns? Maybe you're constantly overthinking, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions. Together, we'll explore the attachment wounds beneath these patterns and help your nervous system find steadier ground. Through a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach, we'll build practical tools for emotional regulation, strengthen your connection to yourself, and create relationships that feel more secure and authentic. Love shouldn't feel like you're constantly trying to stay afloat. You're welcome exactly as you are.

I’m a trauma therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) with advanced training in Internal Family Systems and attachment work.
Helping thoughtful women transform “never enough” into calm confidence. If you look successful on the outside yet secretly wrestle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or exhaustion from trying to keep it all together, you’re not alone. You might notice you’re replaying the same relationship patterns—cling-then-retreat, over-giving, choosing emotionally unavailable partners—and suspect it traces back to early trauma or attachment wounds. You don't have to stay stuck - together we’ll turn survival patterns into sustainable self-trust so you can enjoy relationships, work, and your own company.

Does food or your body take up far more mental space than you want it to? You may feel stuck in cycles of chronic dieting, body checking, shame around food, or confusing body signals. Stress, trauma, or self-criticism can show up as rigid food rules or anxiety about eating in social situations. You want support that treats you — not just behaviours — and helps you move toward a more peaceful relationship with food, body, and self.

Being human is weird and messy. Maybe you feel stuck in self-doubt, anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles, wondering, why do I keep doing this? Maybe intimacy feels complicated, trauma keeps showing up in ways you don’t expect, or you’re just trying to figure out who you are and what you actually need. You want deeper self-trust, better emotional regulation, and connections that don’t feel like a rollercoaster. Most of all, you want to feel like you, without the weight of old patterns holding you back.

Have you ever felt like you're simply getting through each day on autopilot? Maybe your mind is constantly racing, your nervous system always seems to be on high alert, or you find yourself putting everyone else's needs before your own without really knowing how to ask for what you need. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns, feeling disconnected from yourself, or wondering why certain situations affect you so deeply. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, make sense of these experiences, and better understand the patterns that have shaped the way you think, feel, and relate.

Hey, life can feel really hard at times, I know. I really do. And although you're inherently wise and strong, you don't have to do it alone. We're stronger—and life is richer—in connection to ourselves and others. If relationships feel challenging or impossible; you're going through a life change, be it palpable or the kind you can't quite put your finger on; or life just doesn't feel like you thought or imagined it would... I'm so glad you're here. It would be my honour to work with you to see how we can bring you in alignment with the goals and dreams you have for your life!

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
