I primarily use IFS and relational somatic therapy.
I work with addictions, anxiety, depression, couples counselling, self-esteem, trauma, and non-ordinary states of consciousness. I support adolescents, adults, families, and couples grow their inner capacity for change. I am accepting new clients and can help you feel better as soon as possible. Are you dealing with some painful issues or feeling stuck? Is something not working or sometimes nothing is working? Do you need a nurturing place to be vulnerable with your emotions? I will help you make sense of what is happening and enable you to create more choices to secure your future.

By blending a body-first approach with Emotions-Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems, I will help you explore ways of soothing your body and nervous system as a pathway to relieving your mind.
Do you ever feel like your mind is telling you one story while your body is signalling another? Maybe your reactions feel out of your control, you're unsure where certain feelings are coming from, or you're struggling to understand and communicate your needs. As a somatic therapist, the heart of my work honours the body-mind connection and focuses on bridging the gap between your thoughts, feelings, and body. My support is relational, collaborative, emotionally-attuned and rooted in the belief that all parts of you deserve care. Tuning into your needs day-to-day, session-to-session, and shaping this journey together.

Life has a way of challenging us in ways that can stop even the strongest of us in our tracks. Increased stress, sudden life changes, anxiety, unresolved trauma.... many things can trigger disruptive behaviours and emotions that throw us off-base, damage our health and relationships, or simply hold us back. If your mental or emotional well-being, your relationships with others or with yourself, or your ability to deal with problems is out of balance – whatever the issue or stumbling block, a safe therapeutic relationship can help you return to, or develop a greater sense of ease and well-being.

We incorporate EMDR, Somatic psychotherapy, DBT, IFS and work from a person centered approach.
I am an RCC and somatic attachment psychotherapist with the BCACC. I specialize in adult ADHD, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, grief & loss, anxiety, and depression. I work with individuals and couples. I strive to provide a counseling space that fosters safety, encourages growth, and supports each individual’s innate healing potential. I value allyship with the Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ communities. I focus on long-term healing by unpacking current triggers through finding the root cause which is often linked to deep routed childhood trauma.

The main modalities I draw from are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems ( IFS), Polyvagal theory (for understanding and shifting trauma responses), and attachment theory.
Mental health and relationship challenges can be wild, so I'm excited you're here -because you don't need to navigate this alone. Whether for yourself, family, dependent, or relationship, I am deeply passionate about mental health and certain positive change can occur together. While therapy can seem nebulous, I believe in demystifying the counselling process and don't ever want you wondering if this even works -it does! I use evidence-based best practices and help you develop the tools to address the roots of your concerns/patterns.

I integrate IFS, EFT, expressive arts, somatics, and trauma-informed yoga, while bringing the learning of my own journey with immigration, self-discovery, queer and non-monogamous relationships, depression, anxiety, and substance use.
Seeking support is an act of courage, and I aim to honour that by creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and collaborative. My approach is relational and experiential, as I believe that healing grows not just from insight but from presence, connection, and new experiences in the therapy room. I work with clients who want to develop deeper self-understanding, greater embodied presence, and more authentic ways of relating. Together, we explore your inner landscape with curiosity and move beyond “problems” toward greater aliveness and meaningful connection.

Seeking therapy is a sign of a personal strength, not a weakness. It takes awareness in our lives and courage to be able to reach out for help. Often people who engage in therapy are actually doing well in life but would like to do better in one area or another. I believe that the client is the expert on them and it is my role to support them to reach the goals that they set. Now excepting virtual clients in British Columbia.

You may find yourself stuck in the same relationship patterns, constantly questioning yourself, or carrying the weight of everyone else's needs. Perhaps anxiety, self-criticism, overwhelming emotions, or past experiences are making it difficult to feel fully connected—to yourself, your relationships, or the life you want to create. If you're a teen, you may be struggling with friendships, family conflict, identity, school pressures, or feeling misunderstood and unsure where to turn. I believe healing happens in relationship, and meaningful change begins when we no longer carry things alone.

I believe that every client is unique and an expert in themselves. Sometimes, however, circumstances or events feel overwhelming and intrude on our ability to live the life we want. Having a person to support us on our journey to healing is necessary to feel capable of processing and transforming.

I support adult women who feel stuck in painful emotional patterns - whether that shows up as anxiety, self-doubt, relationship struggles, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or a sense of losing themselves in the needs of others. Many of my clients are navigating the impact of childhood experiences, unresolved attachment wounds, or long-standing behaviours that keep repeating in ways that no longer serve them. If you're wanting to understand yourself more deeply, build healthier boundaries, reconnect to your worth, heal old emotional patterns, or show up in relationships with more confidence and clarity, I can help get you there.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
