I specialize in working with adult, preteen/ adolescence and couples.
Reaching out for support can feel intimidating (and honestly, a bit overwhelming). A compassionate, supportive therapeutic relationship can make that first step feel less heavy. I’m a counsellor with a deep curiosity about the human experience and a genuine respect for each person’s unique story — no two are the same, and I don’t believe they should be treated that way. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside you rather than “fixing” you, to support a life that feels aligned with who you truly are. I support individuals in building lives that reflect balance, meaning, and purpose.

Many of the people I work with are navigating a shift in identity - whether that’s due to a life transition, relationship change, injury, burnout, or a growing sense that something important has changed. I specialise in supporting clients who have defined themselves through athleticism, movement, caregiving, a relationship, or achievement and are now asking: Who am I without this? What now? These questions can feel disorienting, but they also mark the beginning of something meaningful. I offer a non-judgemental space to explore the questions that may be arising, and moving through the grief that accompanies change.

I enjoy working with youth and adults who are struggling with trauma, impacts of domestic violence, anxiety, body image/disordered eating, depression, life transitions, suicidal ideation, ADHD, family and peer conflict, and substance use disorders.
I draw from many different counselling frameworks including Intersectional Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Ultimately, I believe that the connection between the counsellor and the client is the most important thing for therapy to work!

Do you feel lost, burnt out, or that you're barely surviving and can't catch a break? I support clients through the messy and complicated periods of life. As humans we face all sorts of challenges - from big life transitions, to challenging relationships dynamics, issues with mood (like anxiety or depression), trauma from the past that keeps getting in the way, or just general "life" (like parenting, finances, health conditions). Therapy is the space to get some support, learn some tools, and find some insight on the patterns which will help meaningful shifts in your life from surviving to thriving.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, moving through loss or change, or just disconnected from yourself, counselling can help. Many of the people I work with are capable and high-functioning, yet quietly struggle with anxiety, emptiness, or patterns in relationships that don’t make sense. Through a somatic and attachment-based approach, I help you understand how trauma, attachment wounds, or younger parts of yourself may be shaping your present. Together, we’ll create space for healing so you can feel more grounded, connected, and authentic in daily life.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
