I’m so glad you are here. New Clients are welcome, both young and old (individuals, couples, families). Let’s talk about how therapy helps. There are so many ways we can feel better, we just need to take one step. Reaching out is the first, and often clients feel better after the first session. There are no waitlists for new clients, when you are ready to begin, we begin. Every moment is an opportunity to feel better, but sometimes we lose hope and stop trying. I encourage self love and self-compassion with playfulness and creativity. “Love has the intense ability to heal the wounds from the blows that life gives us.” Sue Johnson

What a courageous step you're taking, to reach out for help. I honour what you've been through to bring you to this moment. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed with life and trying to "hold it all together", or maybe your needs are falling to the bottom of the priority list. Maybe you notice patterns in your life that keep repeating such as perfectionism, negative self-talk, destructive behaviours, unsatisfying relationships, or mindlessly distracting yourself. If you yearn to: know and trust yourself more deeply, be more gentle and tender with yourself, and feel the freedom to be yourself, I am here to support your journey.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, moving through loss or change, or just disconnected from yourself, counselling can help. Many of the people I work with are capable and high-functioning, yet quietly struggle with anxiety, emptiness, or patterns in relationships that don’t make sense.
Through a somatic and attachment-based approach, I help you understand how trauma, attachment wounds, or younger parts of yourself may be shaping your present. Together, we’ll create space for healing so you can feel more grounded, connected, and authentic in daily life.

Helping thoughtful women transform “never enough” into calm confidence.
If you look successful on the outside yet secretly wrestle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or exhaustion from trying to keep it all together, you’re not alone. You might notice you’re replaying the same relationship patterns—cling-then-retreat, over-giving, choosing emotionally unavailable partners—and suspect it traces back to early trauma or attachment wounds. You don't have to stay stuck - together we’ll turn survival patterns into sustainable self-trust so you can enjoy relationships, work, and your own company.

You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in your head. Stress may feel constant, self-doubt shows up at the worst times, or performance pressure and perfectionism are getting in the way: at work, at home, or in sport. You want relief, but you also want understanding: a space where you don’t have to justify your feelings, can slow down, and make sense of what’s happening. Ultimately, you want to feel calmer, more confident, and more like yourself again.

You may find yourself stuck in the same relationship patterns, constantly questioning yourself, or carrying the weight of everyone else's needs. Perhaps anxiety, self-criticism, overwhelming emotions, or past experiences are making it difficult to feel fully connected—to yourself, your relationships, or the life you want to create. If you're a teen, you may be struggling with friendships, family conflict, identity, school pressures, or feeling misunderstood and unsure where to turn. I believe healing happens in relationship, and meaningful change begins when we no longer carry things alone.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, sensitive, and deeply intuitive. They often feel overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or out of sync with the pace and expectations of the world around them. Some identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or simply as someone who has always felt “different” or out of place. Others are just beginning to realize that their nervous system works differently — and that this might not be something to fix. I don’t believe there is anything fundamentally wrong with you. I see anxiety, depression, and other symptoms as signals — often pointing to unmet needs, misalignment, or a season of life.

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
