Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure, know you're not alone and support is within reach. I’ve been where you are, and my own healing journey inspired me to help others overcome complex trauma. Since 2020, I’ve been helping clients reconnect with their authentic selves, feel lighter by processing the past, and move forward with confidence. Through a compassionate, non-judgmental space, we’ll work together toward a healthier, more empowered future. Healing is possible and it starts now.

I’m so glad you are here. New Clients are welcome, both young and old (individuals, couples, families). Let’s talk about how therapy helps. There are so many ways we can feel better, we just need to take one step. Reaching out is the first, and often clients feel better after the first session. There are no waitlists for new clients, when you are ready to begin, we begin. Every moment is an opportunity to feel better, but sometimes we lose hope and stop trying. I encourage self love and self-compassion with playfulness and creativity. “Love has the intense ability to heal the wounds from the blows that life gives us.” Sue Johnson

Through a caring, respectful and collaborative relationship we will work together to rediscover and develop strengths and resiliency as you work towards your goals. I hold a strong belief in our innate wholeness as individuals. It is only the twists and turns of life’s path that sometimes makes this wholeness difficult to see. I hold a Masters degree in counselling psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

We will look at the patterns from childhood and how they might be recurring in adulthood.
DREAMS are a creative way to work with the unconscious; to be creative means to bring something into being, and the unconscious is a source for that new being. We are not just what we know of ourselves. Our suffering has meaning and if we are struggling or in crisis this can be the catalyst for change. Carl Jung (1875-1961), tells us that "certain types of pain...are symbolically meaningful. This is one way the unconscious expresses itself." Our psyche is a part of nature and dreams come from that nature to speak to us in a metaphoric language.

I work with individuals who feel disconnected from themselves due to chronic stress, trauma, or long-standing patterns of self-protection. This can show up as burnout, overwhelm, or numbness, even while functioning well outwardly. Therapy is a space to slow down and tune into your inner experience— integrating the mind, body, and nervous system to support meaning-making, self-discovery, and the uncovering of your inner wisdom. This deeper connection and understanding of self also helps to cultivate healthier, more meaningful relationships with others.

Do you feel lost, burnt out, or that you're barely surviving and can't catch a break? I support clients through the messy and complicated periods of life. As humans we face all sorts of challenges - from your relationships dynamics or mood (like anxiety or depression), trauma from the past that keeps getting in your way, or just general "life" (like parenting, finances, health conditions). Therapy is the space to get some support, learn some tools and find some insight on the patterns which will help meaningful shifts in your life from surviving to thriving.

Helping thoughtful women transform “never enough” into calm confidence. If you look successful on the outside yet secretly wrestle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or exhaustion from trying to keep it all together, you’re not alone. You might notice you’re replaying the same relationship patterns—cling-then-retreat, over-giving, choosing emotionally unavailable partners—and suspect it traces back to early trauma or attachment wounds. You don't have to stay stuck - together we’ll turn survival patterns into sustainable self-trust so you can enjoy relationships, work, and your own company.

I enjoy working with youth and adults who are struggling with trauma, impacts of domestic violence, anxiety, body image/disordered eating, depression, life transitions, suicidal ideation, ADHD, family and peer conflict, and substance use disorders.
I draw from many different counselling frameworks including Intersectional Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Ultimately, I believe that the connection between the counsellor and the client is the most important thing for therapy to work!

My work has been shaped by supporting Indigenous and BIPOC youth and adults, and women facing barriers.
If you’re here, chances are you’ve already tried holding it together on your own, and it’s not cutting it anymore. You might know therapy could help, and still feel overwhelmed taking that first step. Maybe you’re carrying stress, grief, or heavy things you’ve been pushing down and hoping will disappear (spoiler: they usually don’t.) This is a space where you can slow down and be fully yourself, messy parts included. Humour is welcome, swearing about life is 100% allowed, and there’s no need to filter yourself here. At the same time, this isn’t quick-fix work. We will go slowly, with intention, and focus on change that lasts.

FAQ - About Adult Counselling
Why should adults see a therapist?
Adults may benefit from therapy for a wide range of reasons—whether it’s managing symptoms of a diagnosed mental health condition like anxiety or depression, navigating life transitions, coping with grief or trauma, or simply seeking support during a challenging life period. Many adults find that therapy helps them build healthier coping skills and better process their emotions, which may lead to better relationships and reduced stress. It’s important to note that, unlike psychiatrists or primary care physicians, therapists do not prescribe psychiatric medication. However, they will often work alongside prescribing clinicians to ensure coordinated care and can provide behavioural therapy as an important addition to psychiatric medication. Mental health concerns can look different in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence, so finding a therapist with expertise working with adult clients is important. Conditions like major depressive disorder (MDD), generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for instance, may present or resurface differently in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence. Adult-specific stressors, such as job strain, caregiving responsibilities, relationship challenges, financial stress, or identity transitions, can also influence the onset and type of symptoms an individual experiences. Adult-focused therapists, therefore, are trained to understand these complexities and tailor care accordingly.

How do I know if a therapist is the right fit for me?
When seeking care, it’s important to understand a therapist’s treatment specialties and their overall approach to treatment . Some therapists focus on common adult conditions like anxiety or depression, while others specialize in areas such as trauma, substance use disorders, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. It’s also important to consider a therapist’s training when seeking care. Therapists in Canada hold various licenses depending on their training and provincial requirements. Common therapy credentials include Registered Social Workers (RSW), Registered Psychotherapists, and Certified Canadian Counsellors (CCC). Psychologists (PhD or PsyD) receive additional doctoral-level training and may focus on assessments or more specialized therapeutic approaches. All of these professionals can provide talk therapy but do not prescribe medication. When searching for a therapist, consider their credentials and training background to ensure a good fit.

How do I find a therapist who sees adults?
Psychology Today’s online directory allows you to search specifically for therapists who work with adults. Each provider profile includes key information such as clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, licensure, accepted insurance plans, languages spoken, and session fees. Reviewing these details can help you determine whether a particular provider aligns with your needs and can indicate whether they are a good match for adult clients.
